SUPPORT

Ways to support the project

Independent historical filmmaking continues after the last day on set. Editing, sound, color, music, accessibility, festival submissions, archival storage, museum displays, and preservation all require time, expertise, equipment, and money.

The project is not currently accepting public donations through this website. Future support opportunities, if established, will identify specific needs and provide an approved contribution link.

Expertise and advisory help

The project also benefits from historians, reenactors, military advisers, lawyers, museum specialists, filmmakers, accessibility reviewers, and other experts. Useful review can include military rank and procedure, saluting and commands, weapons safety, flags of truce, prisoners and the wounded, foraging, Civil War-era law-of-war questions, preservation plans, and public interpretation.

Other useful contributions

Approved photographs or footage, archival materials, interview participation, museum collaboration, and help identifying cast, crew, reenactors, and community participants can all strengthen the permanent record of the production.
