VISIT & LEARN

Visit Civil War Battlefields

Battlefield visits connect maps and written history with the terrain where events occurred. Museums and historic sites can add artifacts, documents, photographs, uniforms, weapons, and civilian stories.

Start with the places connected to Killed at Resaca

The project connects several Civil War places: the Battle of Resaca in Georgia; Gettysburg and Monterey Pass in Pennsylvania; and Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia, where Ambrose Bierce was wounded in 1864.

Plan before you travel
